C90T engine noise

Hello Forums... First time poster


I have a 05 C90T with 19+K miles. I have started hearing a rattle/tapping in what I think is in the front cylinder area in the upper RPM range. This happens while it's under load for the most part. I can hear it sometimes in neutral at even higher revs but it's not as bad.

The front plug in running rich (Black) rear plug looks normal (light brown)

Any Ideas?

Check your exhaust crush gaskets. Your header bolts need to be tightened at times and if loose will cause an exhaust leak and noise. If loose it would not hurt just to replace them. Getting them to seat again is not likely and they are inexpensive anyway. Torque spec is 16 in/lbs.

Are you getting a decel pop/bang? What if any mods have you done? High flow filter, fuel processor, AM pipes, etc....
