C6 v. E72?

I'd been thinking of an E72 (or E5) to replace my failing E63, but I'm wondering if the C6 would be a better choice for me.

Looking at http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=3229&idPhone2=2831 it seems the main advantage of the C6 is a larger screen, at the cost of some size, weight and battery life.

I've been happy enough with the E63, other than the lack of built-in GPS and 3g in Europe. I mainly use Ovi maps, web browsing, google calendar sync, music player, joikuspot to create a wifi hotspot, nokia sportstracker with an external GPS device, jbaktaskman as a taskmanager and python for s60. The C6 seem able to do all of that.

What am I missing?

I plan to wait for Friday's big announcement before making a decision.

I have a C6 and it works fine. I had the same dilemma a few months ago and decided on the C6 because it seemed more up to date and had a touchscreen. After 4 months, it is a fine performing device.

Sounds good. Any issues or other things I should be aware of (other than symbian reaching end of life)?

As I mentioned, I mainly use Ovi maps, web browsing, google calendar sync, music player, joikuspot to create a wifi hotspot, nokia sportstracker with an external GPS device, jbaktaskman as a taskmanager and python for s60.

thanks

No not really. The only problem I have is the stock browser can't really load any big websites (ie 2MB and larger). It just crashes and closes the browser. But for those sites I just use Opera Mini.

I usually prefer Opera mini.

Out of curiosity, you have a Sony Ericsson blog and your only listed phone is a Nokia C6 - why don't you list a SE?

The e72 is by far the best and most reliable Nokia phone I've ever used.

Specs-wise, if you go with the C6 it will have the touch-screen but it will also be a slower phone with a weaker battery...

The screen on the C6 is about twice the size of the E72 screen, which would seem very helpful for browsing and mapping, which are very high on my list of priorities.

Faster is certainly better, but I wonder how much practical difference there will be between the two. Battery life seems the trade-off for a larger screen. I don't mind charging every night, but would be annoyed if it couldn't give a day's use.

I don't really care about touch screen v. qwerty, so long as I have some usable input method.

My current inclination is to get the C6. If I don't like it, return to Amazon within 30 days and get an E72.

The C6 is $200. I don't see anything with its feature set for anything close to that price, although I'd pay a bit more for the E72 if I don't like the C6
