C55 not communicating !!!!!!!!!!

HI, I'm trying to unlock a C55 using a cable I made but Joker isn't even recognising the phone !!!

What's wrong with my cable ?

Here's what I'm using...

A MOSFET rs232 level converter instead of a MAX232 and I'm connecting TX,RX and GND on the phone side to pins 2,3 and 4.

DB9 (2)-------|MOSFET transistor |-------> (3) phone side
(3)-------|rs232 level converter|-------->(4)
(5)-----------------------------------> (2)GND

What's wrong ?????????
 
...why you used MOSFET level converter? You need to use the only Max232 IC

The problem is in my country, I can't get a MAX232 or ST232 or any equivalent chip to buy ! That's why i used the two transistor level converter circuit. So you are saying that these level converters cannot work ?

Can i use any other alternaive besides max232/st232 ?
 
...of course to not working. MAX232 transform CMOS levels -12Volts (0)...+12Volts (1) to 0...5Volts (TTL). But you need to know, MAX 232 inverted the signal (Input - 0...Output -1)...
I wil post one tranceiver schematic with the discret components.
