I had anterior cervical discectory with fusion on C5 and 6 9/08. At the time C7 was not bad enough to do anything about per Dr. now I am back in the same place I was before I had the operation in 08. I do not want another operation. I know I have cervical spinal stenposis and deteration. What can I do if anything. Alos had to change insurance companies and they put one year rider on my neck.

You might want to repost this on the Spinal Cord disorders board. That's where all the great people who have cervical spine problems and experience should be able to give you some direction. I had an ACDF on C7-T1 in 2008, and received lots of good advice on that board.

Do join us at the Spinal Cord Disorders board. With an existing ACDF at C5-6 it would mean taking off the existing hardware and expanding the fusion your got. There is another surgery for spinal stenosis known as a laminoplasty but I have no idea of it can be done with an existing ACDF. And it's hard to find docs to do it.

Come on down to SCD and see if anyone there has faced a similar problem...bet someone has.

hugs...........Jenny(fused C3 to T1)
