C109

Hmm... good question. Just really guessing here, but that bike is so powerful, I'm sure it would make some difference, but probably not a very noticeable one.

I really envy you 109'ers. I see a lot of M109s here, but I got the jones for a C109. It's my dream bike. But I don't think my 5'7" frame could handle it.
 
Oh no!! Don't say that. I'm only 5'9"-5'10" and 170lb and I thought it fit me fine. I know it has a lot more power but I feel I'll be fine. I know riding and sitting on are two different things but it actually felt better than the C90 that I sat on.
 
Just too our C109 through 1250 km of the Rockies and loaded with two riders we were doing high 30's for mpg. No shortage of power and MAN do I love passing Harleys trying to climb a slope while I've got 1/2 throttle left.

I took my wife on a ride on the freeway doing 75mph. I got 38mpg. I went by myself down some backroads doing 55-60. I got 38 mpg. I think this bike likes cruising on the freeway!!!
 
The floorboards allow for pretty much any size person. The seat on the bike isn't set for leaning back, more for sitting up straight or leaning a little forward - so I don't think at 5'7 you'd have any problem.

My wife is 5'4 and with the low seat height, she can sit comfortably in the saddle. Our Shadow 1100 before this was too tall for her to do the same.
 
my M109 can get into the mid 40's on the highway. On city roads, it is highly highly dependent on how fast you twist the grip. My marauder seemed to always get 45 city and 50 highway, but do to the large engine the city mileage can decrease significantly if you are romping on it.
 
Do your self a favour and get a Roadliner or Stratoliner. From all accounts I have read the Yammy is a far superior bike. I know a lot of Suki people won't like me saying that but I beleive I am right.
 
Do yourself a favour and sit on all of them, take them all for a scoot and then make your decision.

The bike has to feel right for YOU and it's not a decision you make just because people on a forum tell you what's best. Reading what people say doesn't mean jack once you've bought a bike and put miles on it, only to find out that it doesn't suit your riding style, your height or weight.

I tested the Strat, Nomad and the Honda and preferred the C109. That's just me.

Everyone's different.
 
to some it's worth getting a junker that feels right instead of a shiny new bike that doesn't fit...

fit is probably most important... if you don't fit and feel the bike... you'll never be 'one' with it :)
motorcycling... just another avenue for Zen :)
