C&C Solo Seat and Pillion Review

I purchased a C&C Solo seat for my 2009 Street Glide. I am very happy with the looks and comfort of the seat. However, the Pillion seat that goes with my Solo seat is not big hit with my girlfriend. While the Pillion seat goes well with the Solo seat and looks great, my girlfriend complained bitterly about the lack of comfort. We did about four hours of riding today, and I would guess that was about 2 1/2 hours too long for her. We do a lot of two-up riding, and she never complains about the HD Reach Seat that we usually use. The Reach Seat is much bigger (wider) and thicker than the C&C Seat--much like a Sundowner or the seat on an Ultra. Now it may be that the C&C Pillion seat needs some breaking in; but if so, that will have to happen over time on some short rides. Not a big deal for me because I really bought the Pillion as an afterthought. My real intent was to get a good looking and comfortable Solo seat, and I accomplished that. I never intended the Solo seat and the Pillion for two-up touring. Hopefully, the Pillion will get more comfortable over time, and my girlfriend will get to like it for our intermediate length rides.

I spoke with Chuck the other day and Chuey is workning on a 13" pillon to rectify this lil issue right here.

I think I am still just going with the sport tour going to pull the trigger here soon and me and wife ride down and get our a$$es fitted. C&C seem to be the way to go me.

Very original graphics. I have posted pictures of my Solo Seat in a prior post, which should be easily searchable. When I'm able to post a picture of the Pillion, I'll do so; but it matches the Solo seat with the same flame stiching.

I am a big fan of Chuck and Chuy at C&C Seats. Their customer service and follow-through is excellent. I'm not too disappointed about the Pillion because, as I said above, it was secondary to getting a Solo seat. In fact, because the Solo seat is sleeker and lower profile than my HD Touring seats, I pretty much expected the Pillion to be lacking in the comfort category.
