You don't need to take the bags off to remove it, just use a wrench to loosen the bolt that attaches the strap assembly to the saddle bag mount, then put the bolt back in once you have removed the assembly.

I did mine last night, super simple.

Are these seats the real deal for day long comfort? Does the suction cups on the pass pillion leave marks on the rear fender? I cant imagine how they wouldn't. I tried a Danny Gray seat and it killed my lower back. my butt didn't burn like it does with my stock SG seat but it sure hurt after 50 miles.

I am apprehensive spending any more money on seats. Had my stock seat done at a MC rally and wasted 200 bucks on that too, dang finding a comfortable seat sure is a pain. LOL

which I was totally ok with. Beautiful black leather without stitching (due to all the rain we get here) I was somwhat worried about the seating while not moving, but WOW! whenI get inderway. The jell pack insert really seems to help (even my fat behind) The rider seat is narrower but seems to allow more blood flow in my but and seems even more comfy than the sundowner. I needed to raise the backrest a smidgeon also. They are an expensive seat but the give you a lot of options on customizing your seat before they ship. Also one of the neatest looking saddles with all the leather combo's available. I had Corbin years ago on a VMAX and felt like I was sitting in a toilet seat.

I've put a thousand miles on my new c&c solo this spring and love it. The most in 1 day was 300 miles, Back side felt great. Took the wife for a ride to try out the pillion, Said it was way better than the stock seat. Anything would have to be better than the passenger seat on a rk custom. I must say I'm very pleased with my c&c seat.

I have the solo with backrest done in red flame stitching, love it, but I should have ordered one that didn't move you back...a little stretch for me...maybe they could modify it for my, sure they would....

not knowing what standard they use. It's moved me back almost 2 inches from my Sundowner. It's really comfortable and like anything new, takes a little getting used to. It comes with a low back rest so I fabricated another and added 3 inches to bring the backrest up. Works like a damn. I really like this new seat and it looks really sharp. I prefer the leather seat too.

Gotta chime in on this one. I have a CC squareback and while it's a great looking quality made seat with a great riding position for a tall guy like me, NO it's not made for a whole day of touring, at least in my experience. I opted not to get the gel pad and regretting it now. Not sure that would have made a big difference anyway. I can't comment on the pillion pad as I didn't get the solo seat but I can tell you my squareback fits like a glove. But it's an around town seat period. Just thought I'd pass that on to those looking for that ALL DAY seat. My search continues and my wallet screams in pain ! Looking at a La Pera Daddy Long Legs seat. Anyone have experience with that one? Ride safe!

I'm glad I did. I'm not feeling any extra heat. I rode for 4 hours today and was very happy with how good my butt felt in this saddle. I had the Sundowner before this one and the C&C is much easier to be comfortable in. Only difference is I'm sitting a little further back. The closer you want to be, the wider the seat can be and vis versa. These would be the perfect saddle for long legged folks too. I haven't had to use the passenger pillion yet but would be surprised if it didn't leave marks.

Sorry to hear its not an all day seat for you... but.

I disagree, cant speak to the seat you opted for, but the solo... all day, several day seat. I wanted the solo with OUT the look of a 'trouring' seat but with all the comfort of a touring seat, and I have found it without a doubt!

Not saying this seat is for everyone, but id say 9 out 10 would agree with me from the positive posts ive seen. And the poitive feed back from this forum is why I decided to go with C&C vs. Mustang.
