my problem is that my drea200 ask for registration even without sim so plz help

i recieved the code entred sucsefully i changed network band to 2g for working with

morocco sim card after that i see this pro

thinks to help

In essence, you cannot bypass activation registration screen if your phone firmware is greater than RC29 (USA phone) and RC 7 (Uk phones),

how do you know if your phone is lower or equal to this version, then at the activation or NO SIM screen, Press ENTER then type REBOOT and then press ENTER again, if it reboots, then you have RC lower or equal to the above ie RC29 and RC8. The security hole that allowed this and subsequently ROOTING of your device was fixed in RC30 US and RC8 UK. Rooting your device allows you to mode application to run that requires root access, same way as jailbreaking an iphone to allow third party development for the iphone.

Then there was a work around this and thats the downgrading method with specially moded or patched .nbh files. There are different files for the US and the Uk. phones. You can download this from the link above .. the link is copy paste from xda-developers forum..

You will need to have adb on your PC, and you ll need to enable adb (usb debugging) on the phone and this will enable you to instal USB drivers to be installed for the G1 and have "communication btw the pc and android i.e enable talking to the phone from pc desktop).

Hi, I already did the downgrade/flashing procedure, but the second step Its confusing, I have windows vista home premium if you have pictures or something to understand the process, I don't want to do this with doubts,
SOme of them are:
-how i know I installed correctly the adb?and where exactly with a example tu put it right in the c: drive
-vista already install the drivers of the phone, How I change it to those drivers that you posted, I hope you help me

hi sir i have g1 phone its already openline via code,now my problem i cant activate ,

heres the error:

this could be a temporary problem or your sim card may not be provisioned for data services.if it continues,call customer care....

wqhen i call my number,it says my number is busy, i tried several sims.
 
hey how come after i plug in and type setprop.....

and then check c:/adb devices ..... it said list ...of devices attached ...

but its nothing there and i try put my sim in ..and tr c:/adb shell its said error: no devices help
 
This Guide is for Customers who got Unlock Code but stuck with Google Activation Screen.

You must have either RC29 or earlier, or Modded RC30.(RC29 is US firmware, RC7 is UK firmware) If U have higher
Versions like (RC33 US firmware or RC8 UK firmware) then u Need to Downgrade.

To Check Firmware Version Do the following without Sim

reboot

If Phone Reboots then u have version RC29 or Lower, Skip Upgrading/Flashing Procedure.
(Flash your phone to RC29/RC7 or lower to be able to Exploit Root Access)

Step 1- Format the SD card to FAT32 (Make Sure of this, otherwise it wont Work.
Step 2- Unzip the RC29 or RC7 image file (DREAIMG.nbh) to the SD card & Rename it to (DREAIMG.NBH)
Step 3- Switch Off the Device then Insert the SD card.
Step 4- Now U have to Put your G1 in BootLoader Mode (Hold Down Camera Button, and press Power Button) DO NOT DO ANYTHING TO INTERRUPT THIS PROCESS.
Step 5- Press Power button to Start Upgrade/Flashing Procedure.
Step 6- Once its done, Reboot your G1.

For Those with RC29 or Earlier Versions, Just Follow The Below Guide.

You must have ADB installed on your Computer (Extract to C: Drive), Download & Install the USB drivers. U can Manually Install when Computer Asks for the Drivers once U Connect your G1.

1- Plug your G1 & Install Drivers.
2- Without Sim Card in Your G1, setprop persist.service.adb.enable 1 Even though u dont see what u typing, but u are actually executing a Command on your G1 to Enable USB Debugging in Settings.
3- Once u Execute that Command USB Drivers will be Installed again, but this time will be recognised as ADB Interface.
4- Click Start>Run>cmd> to Command Prompt
5- Type c:\adb devices (If your Device is Connected u will see it)
6- Restart your G1 but now With Sim, to see the Activation Screen then Plug USB Cable & Type c:\adb devices (to make sure u are connected)
7- Type c:\adb shell (U will see a $ sign) Just Copy & Paste this into Command Prompt (am start -a android.intent.action.MAIN -n com.android.settings/.Settings) The Settings Screen will Appear, now Switch on Wi-Fi & Connect to the Internet.
8- Now u can either Login with your Existing or Create New Account with Google.

Is it safe to downgrade the G1 Rom in order to Bypass the Activation without Hard Spl the Device ???

I need to know the Exact Country so I can get u the File... Also Try Powering your G1 Holding Home & Power to get Recovery Mode, once u get the Recovery Mode. Press Alt & W to get back to the Original Factory State...

I remove the battery and then turn it on and now when i do enter/reboot/enter the phone reboot so I think that everythings are fine. The problem is that when I conect it to the computer dont recognize it. What you think is my problem?
