I wanted to buy my boyfriend a phone for his birthday. My contract is up and I'm due for an upgrade so what I wanted to do was use my upgrade to buy the phone at a discounted price but not hook it up to my line. Is that possible to do? Because retail price for the phone is over 500 dollars which I will not be paying for. And I also kind of wanted it to be a surprise so I don't want him to come with me to Verizon to hook it up to his line. I just want him to get him the phone for his birthday.
