Buying Used Ducati Monster What to Look For?

I am buying a used 07 Ducati Monster 695 with just over 35k miles. What would you suggest to look for before paying for it?
Thanks for the advice...the red key issue has come up and this just has two black keys but the owner said the 695 does not have a red key? Is this true?
 
Ride it.
Look for 'down' time. A simple drop is not a downer unless something needed to be replaced
Inspect brakes, pads and rotors. Tire wear. Drive chain for a good lube. The list goes on but lastly, for yellow paint.
It tends to hide the crotch-color of your pants. ;)

Added- the 'red key' should be available upon purchase, if not, you are at risk!
