Buying Used 2004 Ford F-350?

I am going to be looking at a used 2004 diesel f350 and I'm wondering what I should be checking on the truck. I know to look for leaks and cracks in the frame and that kind of thing but is there anything specific to diesels that I should look at? If I do decide that im buying the truck I'll have a mechanic check it over but I would still like to know what to look for and what I should pay attention to when test driving it. The truck is a 2004 diesel f350 dually, 5 spd standard tranny, lifted and it was used to pull a stock trailer. Thanks
