buying my first car here. Honda civic?

ok, so i am about to go check out this honda civic. dont know what type it just says honda civic on the ad. anywho, its a 1995, 180km( and its km not miles). it has nice tims spoiler and hes telling me there absolutley nothing wrong with the eggine. all this for 1500 candian. what you thing is it a steal or what. thanks
 
yeah thats a pretty good deal here in the states (i converted everything)
just have someone who is engine saavy go with you to check out the engine and everything to make sure he's legit and the car is in good condition.
