Buying a used Dodge Viper SRT-10?

My cousin just got in the naval academy and he says that on their third year they get to get a loan for a career starting thing and he said most mids spend it on cars. I was wondering would it be possible for him to be able to afford a $70k used dodge viper? He said the loan was not enough but his mom is going to give him the rest and he just has to pay her back so do Naval officers have enough to pay back a $70k car??? I thought they didn't make that much.
 
Real smart to go deep in debt over a car that early in his career. If he has problems with the payments it will impact his life in the military. Junior grade officers do not make that much so I would highly advise against it.
 
pays kind of low but just like any other job would pay think like officer as manager of a store you have workers managers and bosses depends on how long hes in has to what he top pay wil be but its just a job really just like any other but in this job you might get shot at
