found a car on craiglist for really really cheap. 2008 honda accord, 31,000miles for $4,100. thought it sounded to good to be true, but figured that i would send an email just in case it was true. Got a response email from the women selling the car said that her husband recently passed away and that she had recently moved to Canada to permenently live with her elderly parents, she said the price was so low because she was trying to get rid of it fast. She suggested that we use ebay as the medium of exchange because it was a 3rd party that would gaurentee that i would get the car and she would get the money. I have never used ebay before so i dont really know much about it......does this sound legit? is ebay a good way to sell/purchase a car like this? I am just fearfull that this may be a scam.
This is a portion of my email.....dose it sound legit?

"My husband died one month ago and I decided to move closer to my parents(they are very old) in Canada and the car is here with me. As I am unable to travel in the near future and having no one to help me with the sale I decided to make this transaction through eBay. I believe this protects both buyer and seller and it's the right way to do this.
So don't get me wrong and don't take it personally but I would prefer to secure the deal through eBay. Also because the car will be shipped from Canada to US I prefer to work with a third party in order to keep the both of us safe in this deal. I will be assured you will buy the car and you will be assured that you will receive it! Basically the money will be sent to them and they will keep the money until you receive the car and only after you inspect and drive it they will forward the money to me."

you can get scammed through ebay too, not as easily as on craiglist, but you still need to be careful. If you see the car and paper work in person that is when you know that it is legit, if she can't make some type of arrangement it is probably not legit. It does sound sketchy.
