I just test drive this car that i am thinking to purchase. It has 140K miles and all electrical works, no rips on leather seats, will need some cleaning though. Has new AC,brakes, horn, battery and brake job. The owner is asking 2800 but willing to negotiate. I check the Kelly blue Book value and it is somewhere around 2200. Owner's reason for the high price is because the car is mechanically in good shape. There are some faults with the paint, it chips, peels and will need some attention but not in a bad shape.

I am thinking about purchasing this car as my jot ride. I drive Honda Accord Coupe EX V6. It is very reliable and gets good gas mileage. With this Caddy i know i will get somewhere around 15-18mpg. Like i said it is going to be my joy ride. i dont mind if it sits on the street if somebody hits it or whatever. I also dont mind people scratching my door at the mall's parking lot.

I do want to buy this car buy i always ask for a second, third, fourth opinion.

Tell me about your thoughts. Will it give me any headaches? Any issues with this year, car?

Thank you.

If you have problems they will likely be electrical gremlins that are hard to track down.

I think the price is too high even at $2200. I used to live in Ky. and cars like this were going for $1500 on a good day. Now I live in Florida, a veritable Cadillac graveyard, where rust-free models are plentiful.
