Buyin some turn tables, need help

Ok, im starting to mix, im already pretty good at it, but right now i need to know 2 things.

Digital, or vinyl. Digital is more modern, and convinent when it comes to the media you use. No more carying around crates of albums left and right. Just a binder full of tunes. But this does ruin the authenticity of the feild of entertainment.

Vinyls, the shit, the original shit. How much better can it look to throw some vinyls down on some tables. Problem is, finding the ones you need. Less pricy than digital, but more quality..... relativley speaking.

Other thing is, i need to know what brand to trust when it comes to my mixer. Last thing, how many channels, what should i look for in one.. etc. etc.

WHAT BRAND OF TABLES, for affordable i got stanton, for quality ive got Technics, anyone bg to differ?
 
For tables, there really is no question. Get the 1200s! They take more abuse and work better than any other table I've seen yet.
As far as decks go, Pioneer, Technics, and Numark are all pretty good. Numark actualy makes an okay product these days, lots of features, and not too expensive considering what you get. They tend to take a beating pretty well. Pioneer would be my first choice, though they are expensive. Technics makes a new CD deck that has an actual 1200 drive motor for a very realistic vinyl emulation. I've heard good and bad things about the Technics, but if there is a problem, they tend to back thier products with good service.
Stay away from gemini, and Dennon. Gemini is just crap, and Dennon is expensive and not very durable.
 
Technics 1200s, backed by a good Pioneer CDJ should do you just fine. If you can't afford the CDJs the Numarks are pretty decent now. Also if you haven't looked at a mixer yet, the Pioneer DJM 600, or the Allen and Heath Xone series would be great.
 
I have a set of technics 1200's in custom built cases, all wires connect through the cases for 2 min setup....Behringer VM 3000 mixer w/beat counter.

Also have a stand for the whole setup that matches the cases....

looking for 700 for the set...pm and I will send pics....
