Does anybody take high blood medicine with buspar? I currently take lotrel 5/20 for high blood pressure. I thinking of asking my doctor to give me buspar. I been having a problem with my anxiety lately. I also take Paxil 20 mg already but my anxiety has come back.

Any help would be helpful.

No, but i'm also going to be looking into it to take with my effexor xr if it doesn't kick in soon. I looked up Lotrel, and it said thats it's usually given after other blood pressure medications have failed. Have you already tried a beta blocker such as Propranolol or Atenolol? i know they are perfectly safe to mix with SSRI's , plus it will also help with anxiety symptoms, racing heart, tremors, blushing, and it will also keep your Blood pressure low, so more bang for the buck.

I'm on both Diovan (morning) and ToprolXL (night) in addition to Buspar. No problems at all. Buspar is nice in that it has very few interactions and no addictive properties. I'd still bring it up with your doctor on your next visit.

Oh, and I'm also on Lexapro (SSRI).

Thank you for all your replies. I was wondering how you take buspar. My doctor gave buspar 5mg three times day. I also take paxil 20mg in the morning and take lotrel in the afternoon.

any suggestions. How to spread all these medicines through the day.
