I started a small business last year, I build Planter boxes and It started out great made some nice sales and projects, although now there are lots of people building planters as a part time income and are taking all my cliental away. I believe they don't make that much as they build them for a very very low price to the point they are only making about an average of 70-120 dollars per planter. that may sound like alot but when you are running a business there is equipment you have to pay employees you have to pay and much more its not much. what is a way to increase business I try to make at least 100-200 per planter to keep it the business open but because of those cheap part time income people i can't make much only about a sale a month which is horribly bad for a business. I advertise on craigslist for the most part, soon on google and yahoo, yelp. I try and educate potential clients about quality vs cheap but they choose cheap. I don't want to put my name on something i know will be crap in 7 - 8 years. so please what are some options, suggestions you belive i should do. Also im thinking of doing online sales too but shipping is very expensive.
