Business Etiquette--Did I upset a my Designer?

So I finally found a graphic designer with talent. So many desginers just throw together some uncreative stuff to collect a quick check.

She had a really great idea for a logo, was able to create a few other versions on request (the original turned out the best, but I wanted a few comparisons). So I was super impressed with the final product.

So I asked her to work on another idea, but it didn't work out. I had a specific idea in mind, but can't create it myself. After a few rounds, I dropped the idea--she wanted to do a website from scratch, I was just looking for a particular image. Her work contained those stock business photo that are used on every small business site on the internet (shudder).

So the holiday's go by--she even sent a holiday email to her clients. Last week I asked her to work on a different idea--a basic formatting task, not even project.

I didn't hear back. What should I do? I don't want to lose someone whose work I like, just because I didn't want to use one idea. Maybe she was trying to get rid of me, or doesn't want small, uninteresting projects. Maybe she just missed the email, but its been quite a few days.

Should I do something else to keep her as my designer?
