A few weeks ago. A friend of mine and I came up with a good idea for a product to make and sell. The conversation went something like this. He said, "It would be nice if we could do this thing." And I said, "Hey I can make those myself." he had produced some mediocre ones prior, but not like what I came up with! So we did a little Research and I made a product that looks great. He makes the easy ones, and I make the harder ones, plus I have to finish part of his, which makes me do most of the work. Lately he's been sweating me to work tirelessly, not seeming to care that I have more work than he does. ANYWAY, so finally I said we're partners right? He said yes about a week after we started. Now he's saying it's his company and I work for him. And the most I'll get is 1/3 cause he's investing 1/3 back into the business. He said he's giving himself 1/3, so I shouldn't complain, but if I do most of the work (probably 70%), and I'm suddenly not part owner (Now he doesn't remember saying we were partners), isn't like he's getting much more for less than me if the extra 1/3 goes back into his company and he pockets 1/3 too. Is this fair and should I even be dealing with him? We never signed anything, and he can't produce on the level that I can. Plus, his name goes on the product, not mine, but as long as I'm an equal partner I don't care. So I feel he's not being fair. PLEASE HELP ME!!!
