A Calvary Coach bus carrying 42 people crashed tonight after it attempted to drive under an overpass in Boston and left multiple passengers injured and trapped inside, according to the Boston Fire Department and State Police.
The crash occurred on Soldiers Field Road at Western Avenue around 7:34 p.m., authorities said. Firefighters and EMS flocked to the scene to free passengers through the roof of the crumpled bus.
A total of 33 passengers were injured in the crash, said Jennifer Mehigan, a spokeswoman for Boston EMS.
Four victims were seriously injured and rushed to Boston hospitals, she said. One was transported to Brigham and Womenâ
