Burning stomach, once a month or every other month

About once a month I get an allergic reaction type of experience. It usually lasts from 45 minutes to an hour. Typical symptoms are an intense burning of my stomach, like someone is holding a lighter to the lining. The pain is excruciating, and almost feels like a burning hunger. Sometimes my hands and feet get extremely itchy. I usually become light headed and dizzy and come very close to passing out if I walk around. I usually gag and have general stomach upset. If I drink a corn syrup product when I am on my period it is most likely to happen, though it isn't related to cramps, but sometimes it happens randomly or when I haven't had anything to eat or drink for 8 to 9 hours. I'm at a loss to what causes it. I am 20 years old and it has been going on since I was about 12 or 13.

You might have a hiatal hernia. Does anything you do make it better? Eating or taking antacids? If it is associated with blood in your stool or black, tarry, smelly stools then you may have bleeding that should send you to a physician. You might see your gynecologist for this issue.
