Burning Gums and under tongue

I have been experienceing discomfort like burning irritation in my mouth. mostly behind my lower front teeth spreading to floor of mouth and under tongue. sometimes my lips burn too. under my tongue gets sore too, i think from from tonguing my gums? my mouth looks normal as far as i can see. I also have TMJ . I have been using bioteen toothpaste but it hasnt helped. spicey foods make it worse and so does hot drinks like coffee.
it seems worse as the day goes on. i dont see any signs of thrush or anything although my tongue does have some white on it but it always does. i brush it daily.
i am 46 and pre-menapausal.
 
how long has it been going on? Does it come and go? Oral B has a great mouthwash that works for sore gums/mouth that you can get at any drugstore. I use it when my gums and tongue tend to get sensitive and sore like that. Don't know what causes it, but I do know it's annoying when you eat and it just makes it feel worse!
