Bumblebee crashes into real police car on set of Transformers 3

My kiRAB just showed me this video of Bumblebee crashing into a real police car that was on the way to call out on the set of transformers 3.
It sort of makes me wonder why did the police officer think it was a good idea to drive through a blocked off road due to being used as a film set and also why didn't the stunt driver hear the siren and use his eyes before turning or was he just taking it for granted that nothing should be in the way?

Why shouldn't the cop go through? Its an real emergency and a film set shouldn't stand in the way of it.
 
Now if that had happened in the film the police car would've reared up in to the air, barrel rolled and promptly exploded.

All in slow motion.

Real life is so dull. :D

Edit: I really wish it had been the 458 in the lead. ;)
 
this accident was a minor one.

i believe a young woman, who was working as an extra has had serious head injurys from a scene filmed a few weeks ago for this movie.
