i no its not illegal to own or wear a bulletproof vest in the U.S. but i heard that u have to wear it on top of your clothing and you cant wear it under your shirt. is this true or bs
Body armor is not illegal. However, many states have penalty enhancers if you commit a crime while wearing body armor. If that is the case, it would not matter if it is above or beneath your clothing.
I have never heard that, but I would not find it surprising that some state would have a stupid law like that. I am only aware of laws that provide for enhanced penalties for wearing a ballistic vest during the commission of a crime.
