Building a team which do you pick first ?

I was having a talk with my friend and we were talking about if you could build an NBA team around any type of player which one would you pick. A dominant Center like a Shaq or Patrick Ewing or would you build around at dominate guard like Micheal Jordan or a Smart Point Guard.

Dominate Center vs Smart Guard.
