I bought a 2001 Buick Regal GS, that has been one repair after another. transmission was the big one. and to really get my money out of it I need to make it last as long as possible. It is a nice car but it seems like it is slowly getting louder and louder and their is a long whine when I first start it that abruptly stops after about five seconds. Then their is another whine sound that happens when I turn the air off, and have it running. I just had an oil change but I want to get my hands dirty and really take this money pit and learn something from it. What are some good websites for newbies interested in cars? Either Buick specific or not. Also if you have any recommendations of some things I could do to get my peak performance out of this car?
