My 92 Buick Regal has died 3 times in the last week as I was driving it. Each time, I had been driving the car for about 30-45 minutes. One time I was turning right, one time I was standing still, and the other I was driving straight. I include those details because I'm trying to find a pattern, but it's difficult.
When it dies, it doesn't make a sound. All the dash lights come on, the steering wheel and brakes harden up...just like it is when the car isn't on. Anyway, after it dies, I can't start it up for about 5-10 minutes. During that time, all of my electrical works fine: hazards work, turn signal works, dash lights work, etc... If I try to start it up, it just turns over but doesn't start. After about 5-10 minutes, I can start it up and drive it home just fine.
Anyone have any idea as to what might cause this?
