Buick lesabre question! 10 pts?

on my 2000 buick lesabre it has a cd player and then a cassette deck . but there is a peice of plastic covering the hole. Is that just a dummie deck? or is there way to get it out?
 
if thats a factroy head set then you have leave it there that cover is for a optional equrlizer for that model of car you have to go with a factory model head deck if so an is costly
