chance they'll lose? I have to show up to court next week. Basically, I rented a Mercedes from Budget for a few days. I brought it back in fine condition. However, they pointed out "nicks" UNDERNEATH the car that they claimed weren't there before. There were no dents or an visible damage. I honestly do not know if those nicks were there before or after. But they're so small, you'd laugh if you saw what they pointed out as "damage". It was very tiny scratches in the paint. In the documents, Budget claims I got the damage from a "motor vehicle" accident, which isn't true. Unless they consider any damage as being an "accident". They asked for money and I refused to pay it. So I decided to fight it.

I just want to know what you think the chance of me winning/them losing is. I'm told that the courts generally look down on the rich that try to get money out of the small guy. To me it looks like greedy bullying tactics by Budget. I'm asking because I've never been sued before so this is all new to me.
