Buddy tells me "those pipes are misleading..."

Ran into my buddy today on RT 287S on way home from separate points in NY state. We pull off to catch up for a few minutes and as we leave and get stuck at a light, he tells me "those pipes area misleading... by the size of them you would expect them to be way louder". I just grinned and said.. "yeah.. nice and quiet, can hear the radio at 80mph" Luv them monster ovals.
 
Sometimes I wish they were louder, sometimes I wish they were quieter. I guess that means they are just right... A bit over 7000 miles on them and they seem to have settled into their true voice.
