Buddhist do you find having prayer beads (mala) helpful with your meditation?

Im looking to learn more about the Buddhist religion and know many people use prayer beads or prayer wheels and so im just looking on what you find helpful. thanks so much.
Also if you could say wither or not your use a bracelet or what (i know there are different forms. thanks so much again!)
