Buddhism, Hinduism, and Christianity
Religious beliefs affect the lives of the followers of the religion. Three such religions are Buddhism, Hinduism, and Christianity. The lives of these certain people are affected socially, economically, and politically.
Buddhism evolves around the Four Noble Truths, they state that all life is suffering, Suffering is caused by desire, Desire can be eliminated, and There is a path, or way, to end all desire. Buddhists also evolve around achieving Nirvana, or the state of perfect peace and harmony, through the Noble Eight-fold path. This religion has shaped the cultural life economically in Southeast Asia from the Spread of this religion that it culturally diffused to the maximum and is a major religion.
Hinduism’s major belief is the caste system. Which is a system of social stratification, or rank. The caste system is based upon Hindu Beliefs and apart of Indian society. There are four main cast groups:
Brahmans which is the religious class, the Kshatriyas which was the warrior class, the Vaisyas which were the landowners, Merchants, and Herders, and the Sudras who were the laboring class made up of the servants and peasants. Hindu’s believed in Reincarnation also. It is the rebirth of the soul in another body after death. Hindu people believed the action of the people in their life were rewarded or punished in their next life. The Social affect this religion had on its people was that the caste system and its believes provided an organized society in which people believed social mobility comes only through reincarnation.
Christianity believes that there is only one true God, Jesus, the Son of God and redeemer of human kind. They also believed in the Ten Commandments which were the love of God and thy neigrabroador, preaching of brotherhood and equality which attracted the support of poor slaves, and the refusal to worship the emperor. This effected the social classes because Christianity wasn’t allowed in Rome at the time so anyone following the Christianity faith would be persecuted, the nuraber of persecutions rose but in future time Christianity was made the official religion. It became one of the Three major religions.
