bubbles just appeared in fish tank(gold fish) tonight, it's too late to go

to the pet shop, but what do I do ? I was getting ready to bed but noticed that the fish tank with two gold fish in there looked weird. I realized that there were bubbles around the edges. The water was actually cloudy, so I cleaned the housing for the filter and scrub the four walls of the tank, added more fresh water. Is there anything else I should do to make sure that my gold fish don't die?

I have a very basic tank: with a basic pump /filter and the gold fish.
