Me too. He did an incrediable job making the first two X-Men films. But with him saying he would like direct another, gives me hope that he could be involved in future projects.
I thought X3 was alright, it would've been better with him involved though I'm sure. I watched all 3 recently on Blu Ray and was surprised at how much I didn't hate X3, I seem to remember really disliking it but I thought it was almost as good as X1 on a rewatch. With X2 obviously being the most epically awesome of the 3.
Superman was such a waste though, so long and boring.
WELL DUH BRYAN SINGER! I could have told you that! I have never forgiven him for leaving the franchise to make that EPIC FAIL of a movie...and what were we left with? X3 by Brett Ratner...ugh.
I liked Superman when I first watched it, but I had been watching the countdown clock for it, for over 300 days lol
But after watching it again, I think its awful, and probably worse that Superman 4 the quest for peace!!!
Xmen 1,2 and 3 all rocked, and I dont care who directs them TBH unless there crap
Thing is X3 was alright, just that, alright, it could have been amazing after how amazing X2 was. And trust me I am not a huge comic book fan, they are the ones who were really annoyed with it! lol
To be fair to Ratner, I don't think he did a bad job at all. He was given a finished script, and told to film it in the style of Bryan Singer - which he did rather well IMO. The problem lay with the terrible script.
