Bruises & calf/shin pain?!?

I have had a number (about 20) of bruises on both of my legs (shins & calves), that have been there for over 6 months. They are not painful and I do not remember injuring myself in any way. They are all the same color- a pale black/blue. Then resently I have had a sharp throbbing on the right side of my right calf & shin. I have this pain even while resting and not moving my leg ??? What could this be?

this actually sounds exactly what my mom had only she had these bruises on her stomach/sides for many months that just would not go away. she ended up being Dxed with a condition called "morphea". but she also had to have biopsies of the actual "bruises". her doc just happened to really know alot about this condition so she started with the biopsies, since there is a form of actual skin cancer that can also begin this way too. once that was ruled out,that Dx was made. i would just look up that condition and see how things compare. but DO see your doc about this. no real actual bruise just 'stays" for that long length of time,its not normal so it does need to be looked into further. please keep me posted as to what you find out,K? good luck angel.
