browsing problem in my LG CT810.. HELP!!!?

my status says that im connected to the available wifi connection but i cant surf any websites. i used the internet explorer it just appeared that "the page cannot be found. check the name and try again". whats the meaning of it? do i have to change my wifi settings or just im having a slow wifi connection.what are the actions to change? i need your answer ASAP
