browser config service book

so i recently got a blackberry pearl instead of my 8700 4.2 and i dont have a blackberry plan but i do have a normal internet plan and it worked on the 8700 but now i cant get the browser icon to show on my phone and now im missing the browser config service book so i need to know how to get it on my fone , i went to rogers.blackberry.net made an account and sent service books nothing happend, i took my dads sim card with a balckberry plan, deleted service book right after i put my sim card in. i also tried to back up his bb and restore service books onto my bb, nothing. o ya i can get on the internet with opera no problem
 
Not sure with Rogers but with all carriers i've used regular internet didn't work. Once you loose service the icons won't function. I could be wrong for you carrier.

If your running either the $5 or $10 mobile navigate plans your browser icons wont work, the only way you can axxs internet is to use opera mini...the BB browser will never work without a BB plan as it goes through the blackberry.net APN, which you do not have assigned to your account...and signing up for a rogers.blackberry.net address does nothing for you, you have no BB plan...it worked on your 8700 as basically a glitch and something that Rogers "kinda" caught onto long ago
