In short over going to the app drawer or desktop shortcut to re open the browser, longpress the home button to bring up recent apps and select browser, I've done this a few times after opening some apps and I haven't had it auto refresh on me.
Ok so I don't use my browser a lot because I hate that auto refresh so much and I multi task and take this from here and go there with it and yadda yadda yadda it's a pain to come back to the browser and have it auto refresh.
I've been using a new home replacement, Android Mate and it's actually not very solid in the "set" home replacement. (If I'm at the home screen and press the back button background apps will pull up.
And so I've been playing around with this and whatever.
But I've been long pressing the home button to bring up my recent apps, and I've been in the browser then gone to messaging or some twitter app and when I go to the browser via long pressng the home button it doesn't auto refresh!
So I'm sure there are uses out there who can check this out a lot more than I am willing too, just be sure not to open more than 6 new apps.
