Knowing the vain little man that Gordon brown has shown himself to be over the last year, i have no doubt that he will call a vote of cofidence in his government if he loses this vote. But as he is personally staking his leadership in a back me or sack me stance on the 42 day terro r bill, should he not do the honourable thing and resign if he loses the vote rather than find a lame duck excuse to loose the vote and remain as the Prime Minister.

Never use the word honourable where politicians are concerned.

Boot Brown Out!

No conditions, stipulations or votes of confidence. Give that man his P45 for poor job performance. Your ordinary man on the street would most certainly have got his P45 for a poor performance.
