i have a well established tank (up and running for about two years now). the filter and tank and both properly cycled.
i am noticing a very small amount of a light brown algae in the back corner of the tank. i never have a light on in the tank as i prefer to let my fish have natural light ( the tank is in a south facing room with a very large window and receives a lot of natural light) .
i do weekly water changes of 35% once a week and i test my water every two weeks. the water parameters are always perfect I(nitrates and nitrites always zero)
should i be concerned about this brown algae? the only reason it concerns me is because it is brown.
that makes perfect sense!im glad to hear it! my fish likes nibbling on it so i think i will keep it there for the time being. thank you both very much
