My Xbox (first generation, NOT, I repeat, NOT 360) has a 'broken' (basically something's wrong with the data inside) hard drive. My father is thinking of using another Xbox's hard drive and copying the data over onto our 'broken' one. I was wondering if this is actually possible and if this will in any way put the good hard drive at risk?
Oh and my father's really good with computers. He fixes lots of them, including hard drives and power supplies etc.

first off make sure that your father knows what he is doing. if not then call microsoft they'll fix it for $160 i believe. if your xbox is modified forget about it, you have to fix it yourself. but seriously make sure you father knows what hes doing before he starts taking it apart. if your not sure whats wrong with it give microsoft a call for help.
