Broken Screen T3

Guys,

Unfortunately I have a T3 with a broken screen

I have checked a few websites that sell a lot of spare parts but cant locate any spares for a T3. www.gethightech.com seem to have them for all models up to T2 but I cant find any supplier with T3 parts.
Has anyone ever purchased a new screen from any of these mobs? Also what are Palm themselves like for repairs, are they expensive?
Interested to hear what people think, any help would be appreciated.

(Before you ask it was one of my workers who has broken it)

Asa far as I know, Palm is presently the only source of T3 screens due to the unusual size. It's also a little tricky to replace the screen due to the slider mechanisim so I'd send it to Palm for repair.

I am now a believer in advance exchange, which you have to ask for when talking to PalmOne support, and will cost you about $40 or so. I had a T2 replaced in this manner (yes, a refurb with some cosmetic issues on case, but a flawless screen, responsive digitizer, and stable operation) and recommend it (further, I could not be without my unit for the two weeks that otherwise would have been required). Hope this helps-
 
I'll second the Advance Repair option, my replacement unit was with me inside 48 hours (I am pretty close to the Texas distro centre though).

One word of caution, my 'new' pda was left by the delivery man (can't remember who is used) outside my front door when there was no one at home. Okay for me, not so good if you live in appartments....I've not heard of this happening to anyone else, but thought it would help, especially when you'll 'secure' the 'new' unit with your credit card until your broken one arrives back with them.

P.S. My 'new' unit like cemuller's was in 'mint' condition.

I will most likely take up the Palm repair option. Just out of interest how long does it normally take after a new model release until aftermarket screens arrive amongst the vrious parts suppliers.
