broken hand

i just got back from the doctors office with some not so surprising news, my hand is broken. about a week and a half ago i got drunk and punched a steel beam. the doctor took some xrays and my pinky knuckle and hand bone are broken and pushed in the wrong direction. they put a splint on and told me to take some sort of tylenol or something for the pain and that i need to see a orthpedic specialist on monday. what concerns me is what is the specialist going to do? im nervous are they going to rebreak my hand or do surgery???

yeah i can hardly use my finger at all right now and when i do use it im in extreme pain. the knuckle bone snapped off the hand bone and is pretty much sitting sideways on top of my hand. needless to say its been about 2 weeks since it happend so im pretty sure when i visit the specialist i have quite a bit of pain waiting for me.

im also worried that if surgery is required, wont they be putting pins in my hand to hold the bone fragments together? will i ever be able to punch again with that hand???? how will i defend myself?
