I have a w580i Sony Ericsson and I just recently dropped it, screen down, and the battery and cap popped out. So I put it back in and turned it back on and it turns on and everything but the screen is totally black with lines coming down on it. I've read that this phone has that happening a lot, but I wanna know If i can fix it myself without going to a technician or whatever.
I've checked the back of the screen to see if the cable connecting the LCD screen to the phone is connected and it is. I even popped the cable out and clipped it back in. I also took out the battery and sim card out for 30 minutes and nothing. Sometimes the screen would change colors.
I broke it on Thursday and it was always black but today on Friday I took the sim card out to put in my friends phone and then I put my sim card back into mine and I found that the screen turned whitish in the shape of an oval and black surrounding it with a yellow line now. When it was all black it used to be blue. Im not sure if it's relevant but just in case. Maybe it's just the backlight.
Can debranding it make the screen show up again?
Do you know anything I can do to make the screen show up again?
Please I really really need help! I loveee this phone. BEST Phone I everrrr had!
