Y Yoseme Guest May 19, 2008 #2 Cracking noise when you pedal = bottom bracket problems. Go to your bike shop and they will either adjust it or replace it. Your chain is prob. skipping because you need to replace your cassette...is it old and worn? If not your derailluer may need to be adjusted. Good luck.
