Brokeback mountain on dvd?

Can someone tell me when brokeback mountain will be available to pre-order it on dvd? i have not seen this movie as i read people's reviews and they said this movie is really good.
 
Region 1 release date is 4th April according to Amazon. And yes, it's stunning, well worth seeing at the cinema for the camera work alone,

never mind the way it rips your heart out and stomps all over it (goes to corner to sob once more over Jack and Ennis)
 
Yeah it is a fantastic film, brilliant acting from Jake Gyllenhall, he deserves the Oscar. I've looked on Amazon and all the other Major Dvd/CD websites and none of them have it listed yet, I guess it's still a bit early as it only came out around 2nd week of Jan. I would say June or late May at the earliest. Dvd's do tend to come out a bit quicker these days after cinema realease, but are usually about 5 Months after.
 
Don't it just ...only saw this yesterday, and have been unable to concentrate on anything else since.
what ever happened to happy endings?
Just amazing, on every possible level.
 
Play.com originally posted a release date of April 17th (Which is a Bank Holiday) but that has since been taken down and it has no release dates as of yet.

This is probably something to with the Oscars. If BBM wins some of the big awarRAB it's been nominated for, it will probably have a bit of a resurgence at the cinema. I guess Focus Features want to try and get as much money out of the film at the cinema before releasing it on DVD. The short gap between March and April wouldn't gurantee that.

However, IFilm have a couple of clips online for those who can't wait. Admitedly it's from the film... not uncut stuff from the as-yet-to-be-released DVD!
