Ive just turned 16, i'm in last year at school and approaching my GCSE's, i was just wondering what qualifications i would need to join the British army.

Engineer or Front line.

thanks

if you want to become an officer you will have to stay on in school to do a levels and a degree, if you're planning on joining as a soldier then get in touch with your local recruitment office. After your GCSE's if you want to go straight into the army you can be sponsored through Welbeck sixth form academy which will teach you vital skills for a future career after the army. In terms of actualy qualifications you don't need any to join as a regular but they will do some physical and mental tests to see if you're the standard they want. My advice, go to the recruitment office and ask them about Welbeck they will fund you on free open days to different regiments so you can have a look at different corps in the army for example infantry or the royal engineers (you don't need an engineering degree to be in the royal engineers)
hope this helps!
