Hi everyone, I'm new here but my problem is about 16 years old. I grew up in the northeast, joined the military at 18 and saw the southwest and some foreign soil as well. I never had any issues breathing till I moved to the southeast in '94. It felt like someone sitting on my chest, with an ache that seems to run from front to back in my chest. I have a hard time breathing and it last from 5 to 15 minutes and then relief. This problem only occurs in the summer months when the humidity is higher than 60%. Yes, I do smoke. About a pack a day, yes, I did try to quit with only higher aggravation as a result. No change in the problem, I bicycle very frequently, am very physical, and the only time of the year I have these problems are the summer months. I've tried Albuterol, both ways...inhaler and nebulizer with no appreciable result. My doctor says there are no signs of asthma and only little sign that I even smoke, he chews me out about that. Any ideas?
