breathing problems and burning bitter taste in mouth

About 6 weeks ago I started having breathing problems, it got so bad I thought I couldnt catch my breath, cant get a full breath in. went to urgent care, they thought seasonal asthma, nothing they gave me worked, never had asthma before. still have the prob but now my mouth burns. seems worse when I cough. I have a appt with a GI doc in Aug, I feel like I cant wait that long.
What could this be?
